I hear an ad and am suppose to get 30 minutes of ad free music. But I do that and too often I hear 1 or 2 songs & then get an additional 2 minutes of ads immediately after the second, if I'm lucky, third song. Rarely do I get 30 minutes uninterrupted minutes of music. If it's in the small print of their user agreement as to why this is. Then that's a horrible way to trick users to listen to music on this app. I don't mind listening to an ad or two after 30 minutes of undisturbed music but when I hear the 30 minutes of uninterrupted music disclosure before an ad then get a a song or two then more ads, it really makes me hate the products I hear about during that second, unexpected ad break within the promised uninterrupted 30 min. Would be a 4 to 4.5 app if it was just honest. It's such a good app...with a big IF ONLY hanging over it. Full Review

EDIT: Does not work anymore with Yamaha receiver. Can't discover the receiver. Now useless app for me. Previous:The whole streaming-to thing (spotify connect) is marvellous. An awesome ecosystem in my house among all my android devices and even my Yamaha receiver. The "extreme quality" (vorbis 320kbps not to compare with mp3) stream has nothing to envy to Tidal and gives me the best of my audio equipement investments. The fifth star missing is the ability to set a different stream quality on WiFi vs mobile data. That would be easy to do... Full Review

The new update is a mess. I'm trying to delete my downloaded songs to clear up space but it won't even show the songs that I have downloaded. It keeps telling me to fix the filters I have but I don't even mess with the settings that much. It is still crashing even after the last udate, the Android version needs a lot of work done. I'm considering canceling my subscription. Please fix this, I love spotify more than any other app but lately it has been a disappointment. Full Review

The app is really heavy and sluggish. The start time is ridiculously long regardless of the network quality. The management of situations when the phone is offline is poor. Their UX team is just not up for the task. The "shuffle" keeps playing the same songs. The inability to search for playlists containing a certain artist/song is puzzling at best. Hopefully they'll hire some good android designer/coders and fix all this quickly. Full Review

I actually love this app when it allows you to use it, but unless you pay for "spotify premium" it won't allow you to use the features that make it great. I loved it because I could make and listen to playlists and just look up a song and have it, but on my phone unless you have spotify premium it won't let you select a song or play a Playlist unless you do shuffle play and even then it will only play one song and then go to suggested songs. Then, once a song is playing you can't pick another one until it is over. So basically this app shoves spotify premium down your throat and I hate that. Full Review

Great music selection. Non premium buyers will lose out with ads, no skipping songs and no downloads for off-line use. Premium buyers do get tip top selection in song choices. I find it can be hard to navigate all the songs I want, but I am still new to Spotify. It is something worthwhile having if you love an array of music. Full Review

It may be good in most aspects...but the app will randomly need to "redownload" all downloaded music using the premium services. Will happen randomly after a few hours or days. Well known and often occuring glitch that has gone unfixed for years. Going on a trip? Downloaded your music? Probably won't last. You'll be lucky if it lasts the day. Full Review

Your bloody app keeps deleting my downloaded songs! It's happened 4 times in the last 2 months. And it's pi****g me off. I travel a lot and I "depend" on my downloads to help me survive crying babies and drunk girls on the flights. It happens out of nowhere. I'll be Listning and then stop to watch some GOT, when I then start Spotify up again, ALL downloads are gone. My "songs" list has around 3000 different songs and downloading then several times a month, is infuriating. And yes, I know that I haven't removed them myself. Besides, you should have acø confirmation pop up on that. It would save sooo much Heartbreak and annoyance.. I am so disappointed, that I'm even considering that.. Tweezer app or whats-its-face.. Brrr.. Maybe even Apple music would do better.. Full Review

Spotify is amazing with premium. It is essentially unlimited access to any music you could want. The unlimited skips are great but even better is the ability to download playlists so you can listen to your favorite music without being on Wi-Fi or using data, its awesome for commuting. I used Spotify free for a while too. Its still good but Premium gives you so many features and is well worth the price. Full Review

I had no problem with your app. I liked being able to create my own playlists and listening to what's on them. Or listening to a created playlist that I found and listening to what's ON IT. Now every time I listen to a playlist (even my own) it'll be fine for a few songs and then go nonstop to some other songs based on what songs are on that particular playlist. Not impressed. I should be able to pick if I want to do that or not. How can I justify possibly paying for this app in the future if it's causing me this much of an issue now? Full Review

I love how the app suggests more playlists and stations bases off of your most listened to playlists. For example, you may listen to R&B but really only vibe to neo soul or 90s R&B. If you like enough specific songs, the app will suggest more specified stations to listen to with the artists in that particular sub category. I love that adaptability of this app. I also love the option to download music for offline use. The 10 a month is definitely worth it! Full Review

I think it would be cool if there was more ways to organize the songs like by genre or release date of song and also for it to show to you how many times you listened to each song and then tell you in an other section of the apps and make recommendations off of that the date of the songs release and the genre of the song. I just redownloaded the app... Its all new and stuff I'm like oh alright I guess this is fine.. I click on my playlist I have with over 2000 songs... I click on a song and it says Get premium to pick your songs... EXCUSE ME? WHAT? Full Review

I've used Spotify for over 2 years now, and am very pleased with the service and ongoing improvements. Though, one thing I would like to see added is a folder that keeps track of the songs that you remove from your library (possibly for 7 days or so). I've caught myself a few times accidentally removing songs, and on other occasions going to listen to a song and realizing it is no longer saved. As someone who is passionate about the music they listen to, and keep, it would be a safeguard that I'd like to have. Keep Rockin, Paz Full Review

I like that its 10 bucks a month for offline music but I've been booted out of my acct in the middle of nowhere randomly and would need to get back to Wi-Fi service to log in fully again to play my music offline... Which while camping or living in the mtns w no service anywhere available is impossible. ...Also, when plugged into my car radio or a speaker using the 3.5 mm headphone jack, the music stops and Google mic\speaker interrupts and stops playing my jams. I love Spotify, it's a great app and a great place to find/discover new music, it's a great way to make new playlists, and the whole downloding the tracks is clever... the only thing I can say to improve it is a deeper music bank. For example there are a lot of songs that I can find on soundcloud / YouTube that aren't on Spotify but yet I can find the same artist with loads other songs. Would be nice to have a one stop shop. Also my spotify has been broken the last few months it keeps crashing and I have uninstall it from my phone and reinstall it which gives me about months worth of working fine then breaks again. Tbh if it wasn't for the broken side of life I would still have given Spotify 5stars but the whole uninstall and reinstall thing is starting to become very annoying. Please fix whatever this could be. Full Review

Really good app, especially on Premium. People complain it's too much , but it's £9.99 a month for pretty much unlimited music. If your like me, I would probably spend either around that or more on songs per month anyways, so it doesn't really make a difference , plus it offers more freedom. It also has great suggestions of music for you to listen to (based on the music you already listen to) as well as really good and neatly organised playlists on the 'browse' section. A really good app, well worth the money , just get it and trial it for a month (with the 1 month of free premium membership) : you can always stop using it if you don't like it. Full Review

However a couple suggestions would be the ability to block song that you hate so that if they're in playlists or come up in song recommendations you don't have to constantly listen to them and cringe. Another would be to make a copy of someone else's playlist so that you can adapt it for yourself. The spotify app doesn't allow you to listen to the songs you want to listen to. If you put the song of a certain artist in your playlist, it will not allow you to listen to that specific song, but the other songs of the same artist, and if you remove the song from your collection, you are still obligated to listen to other songs. There are also many features which are unnecessarily restricted because you need a membership. Spotify also makes it very difficult to find the songs you want to listen to. I do not recommend this app because it is necessary to buy a membership only to enjoy a fraction of the app's features because of the confusing way to search songs. Full Review
