** Play Store Most Innovative Game of 2016 **

Sit on the throne as a benevolent (or malevolent) medieval monarch of the modern age and swipe your royal fingers either left or right to impose your will upon the kingdom. Survive the seemingly never-ending gauntlet of requests from your advisors, peasants, allies, and enemies while maintaining balance between the influential factions of your kingdom. But beware; each decision you make might have implications and unfortunate consequences down the road that could put your reign and family’s dynasty at risk!

Each year of your reign brings another important – seemingly random – request from your unpredictable kingdom as you strive for balance between the church, the people, the army, and the treasury. Prudent decisions and careful planning make for a long reign but unforeseen motivations, surprise events, and poor luck can take down even the most entrenched monarch. Extend your reign as long as possible, forge alliances, make enemies, and find new ways to die as your dynasty marches along through the ages. Some events will span on centuries, with an intrigue involving burning witches, scientific enlightenment, wicked politics and, maybe, the Devil himself.

Perfect for a quick game or a long-binge session, choose to play a king/session or through an entire century - some options feel repetitive but there's enough leeway to make the game interesting. It's basically a choose-your-own-adventure complete with realistic circumstances - complete with crusades, silk road, the reformation, theocracy and more. Tip: if either of the bars fill up, you die; if either of them empty, you die. Full Review

Great, but I have lost my latest game several times. For example, I got over 100 year once and lost. After closing the game and reopening the game later the same day, I found that particular one game was lost completely in history. Not sure if cloud save is the cause. Full Review

Really quick to play if you don't have a lot of time, but also fun to sink into if you feel like it. I love the sense of humor and all the branching directions you can take, and you don't get penalized too harshly when you die. You just get another crack at whatever goal you were trying to achieve or event you were trying to bring about. Easily one of the best mobile games ever Full Review

Not much fun - repetitive and takes forever to finish a timeline. Read articles on how to get different outcomes. Seems like it would take too long to stumble upon those solutions. Who has the time. Full Review

I love that there are still paid (not IAP) games like this out there, and better yet, games that actually embrace the mobile genre and build around that. This game is a perfect game for any phone or tablet, with a gorgeous art style, good sense of humor and a surprising amount of strategy. It's very easy to pick up and play a quick round (or fifteen) and I can't get enough. Full Review

Swipe left for yes, right for no, in this roguelike RPG. Manage your kingdom through binary interactions with other characters, while carefully maintaining power balances between the church, the people, the army and your wealth. Give the church too little power and be taken apart by the pagans. Have too much money, and you get fatally wasted on booze or shot by an arrow in an impromptu archery contest. Too much or too little of either of them will end a game. Built for mobile, the game is simple to control, swiping left or right to make each decision. The playthroughs are random, at least in terms of the sequence of events. That gives the game some good replay value. The outcomes of the decisions per encounter are fixed, so you can think of that as a way to play more strategically on future playthroughs as you collect newer event cards and progress through the game. I liked it. Simple controls. Light humor. Quite replayable. Full Review

Very entertaining and fun, but simple enough to be easy to play. The graphic design is fun, and card swiping method of play works great. You can really get into the story and plot of the game too. The nicknames of the kings are also a cool element, as well as the mystical mood. One thing I would suggest would be the ability to make your own first name so there aren't any repeats. Overall, this is a great game that I would give 5 stars without hesitation. Full Review

I do like kittens, I wouldn't say I love them, love is such a strong feeling to have to impose on someone. Don't get me wrong; there are 5 cats total in my household and I spend thousands each year buying toys, food, vet visits and random junk to keep them healthy and happy, but I wouldn't necessarily call it love. Every time I play this game, I feel like I'm sucked in just enough to care, but I can put it down for other tasks. This game can be a 40 minute ordeal, or just a 5 minute diversion, or time waster. That's one thing about this game most games don't have. Full Review

It's a great game but for some reason most of my data for the game was deleted. I was at year 1837 then I was set back to the year 946 I don't know why but all I know is that it was a huge set back and I was kind of mad when I saw that my data was almost gone and if you could fix that it would be great Full Review
