My initial review and feelings of this was not good. However after few weeks and a refund (great customer service by the way), I was recommended to try the app again, and it has been amazing. I love the little details in the app (telling you your stats in a humorous way) as well as the light and beautiful layout is fantastic. My favourite part of the app has to be the synchronization with other devices which allows to continue to listen from where you left off on different devices. Full Review

Excellent podcast app - the best one I've used on Android. I happily paid for the upgrade and am really enjoying the ability to sync. I am reserving my last star for: 1. The ability to view my listening history (even if it's only the last 10). Sometimes I have a queue and I get distracted (or fall asleep) and I don't know what I've missed. 2. The ability for listeners to rate/review podcasts (like iTunes). 3. Easier access to podcast description in my subscription section (when you have lots of podcasts, sometimes it's hard to remember what each one is about). Full Review

It's OK App looks great, but doesn't seem to have the option to auto start/pause on Bluetooth connection connect/disconnect. This seems like a very basic feature that's missing. I guess it's back to DoggCatcher for me until I can get that in Pocket Casts. Dev says to use Tasker for this. That's great if you can hack a way around this missing option, but wouldn't it just make more sense to build this basic feature into the app? Everything else in this app is made to be as user-friendly as possible, it's crazy that the "recommended" method of getting this functionality is to use the infamously un-user-friendly Tasker app. Full Review

Brilliant app... couldnt ask for better really. Easily find, download/import podcasts, listen and delete when done. All in a wonderful simple and intuitive interface and modern design. Never crashes. Great playback options, auto download and delete facilities. Can trim silence, fast forward at a pre determined rate set by you and... heck its an awesome app, just buy it already!! My most used app by a mile! Full Review

Fantastic app for podcasts. Very much worth the price. Downloaded it roughly 2 years ago and haven't looked back since. Cross device sync is fantastic, the interface is beautiful yet intuitive, playback is smooth as butter,it even gives you stats! (I've spent 57 days out of the past 2 years listening to podcasts). My few nitpicks would be the discovery features aren't amazing, but still decent and you have to pay more money for their web version but again, that doesn't stop this app from being a 5 out of 5 in my book Full Review

Love this app, but today the app keeps attempting to download every unplayed episode for every podcast I subscribe to, unprompted! I've only got auto download on four subscriptions, and have turned it off except while charging, but still these mega downloads keep happening. I've force closed the app and restarted my phone to no avail. Can you help? Full Review

If you want to go ad free with your podcast app, this is the way to go. Has all the features I like (being able to rearrange the order of your podcast, show episode descriptions, dark theme, easy interface). The only two annoyances are that you can't preview more than one episode of a podcast that you haven't subscribed to, and it automatically marks all episodes but the newest as already 'played'. While the second issue has a solution, it should be an option under settings to prevent having to do it for every podcast Full Review

Hi, everything about the app is great but only it doesn't allow me to download episode and save it on my SD card. Saving it on the phone is fine. Please, fix this and I will definitely come back and rerate when this got fix. FYI, when I select download on the first time, it doesn't do anything but only change the download icon into retry icon. Then I press on retry icon, it turn out that '/storage/................mp3: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)'. Any suggestions? Full Review

Probably the best Android podcast app, but definitely still has significant flaws/quirks. You can't browse podcast episodes without subscribing, and when you do, everything but the latest episode is marked as listened. It's not easy to just find and go through old episodes. On the plus side, the queuing feature is nice, as are the advanced playback controls. Still, Overcast on iOS is a better experience...this is just the next best thing. Full Review

There's this bug that needs to be squished asap. 50% of the time when I lock the screen while the podcast is playing, it pauses. It also disappears from the drop-down notification tab. So everytime this happens I have to find the app icon click on it and resume the podcast and hope it doesn't happen again. Please fix this. I know it's very fixable and don't want to uninstall just for this reason. Thankyou! Full Review

My fav, go-to app, full of all the right features to make listening smooth, easy, and automated so I don't have to remember to download new eps or queue them up. However, a couple of weeks ago, it crashed mid-play and now refuses to open without crashing in the process. I've sent in several bug reports, but the issue has yet to be resolved. If it's not soon, I'm going to fully move on to another app. :( Full Review

I like the app a lot. Best podcast app purely based on its design and search / discover features. It's odd though that I have to subscribe to a podcast to see it's episode list, and when I subscribe it marks all but the latest episode as already listened to, which makes no sense as I'm subscribing to it as a new listener to the podcast. Still the best podcast app, but I'd love it if they could change this. Full Review

This app used to work well for the most part, and I really did enjoy using it. However, after the recent update I can barely listen to anything as podcasts don't play! Even when they show that they're ready to play, I click the play button and nothing starts. Sometimes it'll start after a few minutes, but then it sometimes quickly goes off again. Please fix! It would also be nice to have the option to see the title of the podcast you're listening to with a description of the podcast, instead of just seeing the cover image and the episode description. I listen to a lot of different podcasts and sometimes it's hard to remember which is which. Full Review

Not a great experience so far, came recommended for use with android auto.. pocket casts send to have no idea in which order to play a list of downloaded podcasts.. so if driving you have to search for the next one, if it's a list of more than a few AA will lock the list scroll for safety so you can't get to it.. pretty frustrating and can't imagine why a simple play order by date of release can't be built in Full Review

I consider myself the biggest fan of Pocket Casts, though I'm sure it's debatable. I've recommended the app to others and they have purchased. The app gets better with every version. I still like Pocket Casts as my.main driver but there really needs to be sync capabilities for podcasts on Android Wear. This ap. is wonderful, allowing me to download ep's at home (on WiFi) and play them while I'm walking, or out and about. The only reason it doesn't get five stars, is that there's no distinction between stuff you've already played, and stuff you've never seen before, in the backlist. This is irritating and confusing. The podcasts are listed with DD-MON, but no YY year, so if I'm tracking back, it can get confusing. Also, there's a difference between Discover (which allows you to search for, and find new podcasts), and Podcasts, which lets you play them. It should be easier to switch between these. Download this, it's simple enough I recommended it to my mum. Full Review

I love this app but have struggled at times with getting support. I've been unlucky enough to have to contact support on more than one occasion and at first their response was to keep trying the same thing over and over again. Eventually I got a hold of someone on Twitter and my problem was resolved, but Twitter was my third resort. I still really like the app and use it almost daily. I frerecommend it to friends and family too as it's very intuitive and easy to use. It is kind of remarkable that I paid such a low one time prove and get so much use out of it. I just hope I never gave a need to talk to support again. Full Review

Almost perfect, but it still has a quirk that's REALLY annoying. I submitted a bug report over a year ago now. The problem is when you use wifi only download and you are on the road, it stops your playlist instead of skipping the podcast when there is a playback error. This is a safety issue when driving because there's no one touch way to resume. It shouldn't even stop imo to begin with, just keep going on with the next podcast. This app is great besides this one largely ignored issue. Hopefully the continuingly lower star rating will finally get someone's attention. Full Review
