Choices is by the team that first created story games for mobile over a decade ago. Later we created Surviving High School and Cause of Death, the first games with episodes, for EA.

Both games hit the Top 25 and were inspirations for other companies. After leaving EA, our team regrouped in a small office and with the quacking of nearby ducklings we set out to create story driven games with heart. As Pixelberry, we launched two hit games, High School Story and Hollywood U.

Our team has now grown to over a dozen of the most experienced game writers in the industry. In our 10 years of creating story games together, we’ve seen heartbreak, marriages, great adventures, and even Pixelbabies.

But even through diaper changes and late nights, we think we’ve created our best work to date. We hope you’ll fall in love with our newest characters, Chris, James, Kaitlyn, Dave, and Sam just as we have.

Enjoy,

- The Pixelberry Team

It takes too long to get passes, and when you do you only get 2... And too many options require purchasing. The choices I would make aren't am option because I'm not paying. Otherwise it is a fun game, and the graphics are a ton better than episodes. I feel like the stories are more about the story not about the character design, which I love. But I can't get really into it due to the lack of passes. If rate much higher if they took less time or there were more available at omce Full Review

Just wanted to give the mobil game a try. Jt was terrible. You cannot make any choice you want. The only way to make other choies is to give these bastards money. No watching adds to get keys or diamonds. Just buy everything. If you don't you will end up with the same story all the damn time. Usless game, well it is a mobile app...give Dance Line a try. At least in that game there is good music and you don't have to pay for everything. Full Review

You only get one diamond per chapter and to do any of the fun stuff. Or say anything of how you want the story to go they want 30 diamonds. I'm not buying diamonds. I'm not buying keys. I find it retarded that you don't get extra diamonds every chapter you complete. Like pokemon go you get a bunch of pokeaballs every level. Like really you guys are that stingy Plus on top of it you have to wait about two and a half hours per key Full Review

This game is tooo good and addictive also... But the main problem is about lack of diamonds... They only give 1 diamond after each level and demand 20 diamonds for outfits how it is possible to purchase outfit... For every story they should provide diamonds and they should give atleast 2 diamonds after completing each level... And different story have another collection of diamond then only its possible to play and purchase everything... Plzzz fix this sooon so dt we can enjoy the game... Full Review

Definitely has potential for a good game. Interesting and addicting stories, but gets really annoying because EVERY CHAPTER there's an option that you have to pay for. The only way you can earn diamonds is by finishing a chapter (1 diamond per chapter), but each chapter there is an option where you have to pay 20-25 diamonds. Just not worth it. You end up getting stuck with whatever the non paying option is, which ends up being super lame. It also gets annoying that you can only read 1 chapter with 1 key, and they refresh every 2 hours. If you're willing to spend major cash, then this game is for you Full Review

Fun story, but it's stupidly expensive. Everything costs diamonds and you simply can't get any without shelling out cash. Also the keys to play is a stupid feature to grab more money. It's so greedy for a enjoyable story. Also the lack of male themed or gay themed stories is disappointing unless your a female, and or lesbian. But also again preference. Fun, but not pay out the wazoo fun. Full Review

It's a good game. It makes you want to know what will happen next. But it takes too long to reload keys and it only gives you two keys. It could at least give you more keys since it takes 2 and a half hours to load each key. And it needs more ways to earn diamonds because most of the right choices cost diamonds. You only get one diamond to complete a chapter. That's not enough to make the right decision. Full Review

I started playing 2 days ago. I like it but I try syncing my game to my phone and now I had to start over and my progress doesn't change on my tablet, so that sucks. Also why does every thing need a key or diamonds? Why not revive the keys every 15minutes and not 2 hours. Why only 1 diamond is awarded when u finish a chapter? I like the game but I can't pay every time I want a diamond to pick a different option. Besides that , it's a interesting game. Full Review

I never knew how addictive and awesome this Choice is much better than the one app on series because you could not play it because there is a lingering issues and errors going on until now. I really really love this. I am so hooked. AAAAA ++++++ app Highly recommended. The only thing I don't like about this game is its COST. Is there anyway to at least lower the cost of the in-app or in-game purchases like items choices or event choices into half of it? That would be REASONABLE and we could enjoy the game more. Dear Pixelberry, this game is addictive and fun af. But the prob is it's so expensive for those who cannot afford to buy keys and diamonds like me. Perhaps you can get us to watch ads thus get free diamonds and decrease the hours to get key. Come on two hours for a key? Other games make people pay too but they're not as ridiculous with yours. However, I'd love this game to be better for everyone. Full Review

This is a good game. With a few changes it could be amazing. I like the choices that they give you when they give them to you. One downside is that most other choices cost too much. The diamond system does not really work to your benefit. You collect only one at a time yet a good choice would cost you 20+ diamonds. Plus it also takes way too long for you to get keys for continued play. Only 2 keys every 2 1/2 hours seems ridiculous. It's like they want to force you to purchase in order to enjoy the game. It almost frustrates me to the point of uninstalling. Please fix and I will keep playing. Full Review

I love the game although the parts are pretty short. That wouldn't be a problem if it didn't take so long to get keys to unlock them. Also diamond rewards are almost nonexistent so I can never really make the choices I want and it affects game play. Also it only takes me like maybe 10 minutes to read a part, but 2 and a half hours to get a key so it takes forever. Full Review

Please let me know when the game is made offline, I would definitely update the game when the opportunity arises. Full Review

The stories and all are great but you earn diamonds and keys so slowly. 2.5 hrs for a key (and the max you get without buying them is 2), and diamonds you get are 1/chapter but you spend 20-40 ($2 - 4 ; that's a lot!! ) diamonds for special options. And the keys and diamonds are expensive. Episode is a far better option because even if you earn and spend diamonds at the same rate, there are thousands of opportunities to warn the diamonds. If I finished every chapter on this app without using my diamonds and saved them to played ONE story, i still wouldn't be ABLE to make all the diamond choices. In episodes i can play all the stories, and then play probably 5 with diamonds right through. This is probably an underestimate. Also you don't give us a diamond for replaying a chapter. Why are you charging a key? How is that fair? Full Review

This game is so unfair. Every important. Decision you have to make costs gems, EVERY ONE OF Them. As a result you lose everything because the game does not provide enough gems for you to do this. I can understand that you need to charge for gems but you could give a little leeway for those who cannot always afford to by them. You cannot call this a free game. It's wrong. Full Review

This summer I have a class of 15 teenagers, all seniors this coming yr. When I seen this game, I thought it was an awesome learning experience, how each of us are different, how our "choices" effect everything. But come on now, over 1/2 of my students aren't playing anymore. Ur "choices" cost. There's no way to earn diamonds or keys. Wait 2 hrs for a key. U can't make the choice u want because a nice dinner dress is 35, a date is 35, a lot of it is unrealistic. I understand paying for some things, but this is ridiculous. It really is. Please fix this, if not then we have delete it . I wish we don't have to. Love the thought u have done with this! Full Review

The choices are way too expensive considering we only get 1 diamond per level. Seriously, 25 diamonds for an outfit change? Seems a bit extreme. I don't mind waiting for the time to get more keys, but there should be other ways to get diamonds and keys without having to open your wallet. This is supposed to be a free game and we're already watching ads when the game starts. Also, need more fantasy choices. I think this is a great way to get my kid to read and get into story plots but you need more choices and wider genres. Otherwise, I do enjoy reading the stories and getting to help create the book. Just want to revised my former rating of 5 to just 2 stars. The story line is okay, the music is nice, though the graphics is somewhat lacking in animation but still okay for a free game. But what sucks is the cost of keys and specially diamonds. The cost of premium choices is too high which defeats your title of "choices" since it "does not really give you a choice unless you spend money". And even if i like to buy, diamonds are just too expensive at 20 diamonds a 100 pesos? While the cost of each choice is ranging from 15-30? You mean to have us spend that much for a single choice? And the "single free diamond" at the end of each chapter to way too stingy or non-existent considering the cost of each choice is at least 15 diamonds. I would have spend some cash, but just not that much for this very simple game. Overall, I just dont think its worth it. I just wished you guys are not too greedy coz i would have loved this game :x Full Review

I really love this game but I think there shouldn't be a cost to make desicions. Sure there are some things where it gives you a choice but the choices that actually matter cost diamonds. And the diamonds themselves cost too much real money. If its a game of making your own choices then you shouldn't be forced to make a choice you didnt want. The motto is create your own story but it seems to be that the game creates it for you. If we could have more freedom with our choices then this would be 5 stars. But since we dont its 1 star. Its a huge difference. Full Review

It's a major put off if we have to keep purchasing diamonds to make a good choice. Developers please do something in this aspect. Also at times the diamonds are not reflected even after paying for them. I've had multiple purchases which aren't reflecting in my diamond balance. The stories are good but needing diamonds to make which we get only 1 per every chapter is pathetic. I'm also a developer so I know the need to make money through in app purchases but this is plain pathetic!!! Full Review

Choices? HA. More than the disappointment of scenes hidden behind pay walls is that they only give you an ILLUSION of choice. In book 1 of The Freshman, you basically need to pay to help you're friends hook up. Then in book 2 it remembers no choices you make. From who you went steady with down to your name and even face, you have to pick it again. The best part? I didn't get my friends to hook up because of pay walls, and because my choices don't matter, in book 2 I simply said they did go steady, despite that they didn't. Meaning, if I did pay, it'd be a waste of money. The game doesn't remember you're choices, you have to refill in the blanks. The illusion of choice everybody Full Review

Overall the game was great. But that is obvious. Look at the choices they make you choose from, a good one that will cost diamonds that we get so little of and the only way to get more is to pay money and therefore are forced to choose the negative option. I love the story lines of each story from horror, fantasy and romance I love how some stories are kind of connected in a way seeing previous characters in other stories for a short moment. Slightly better than episodes app. The stories are interesting and aren't written by users so spelling and grammar outshines episodes. The story updates are too slow given how limited the story selection is. I would give this app a 1 star because of how many diamonds you need, how slow keys regenerate, and how there's very little reading material; but the stories are decent so you get a 2. Full Review

The name of the game is choices... But, you cant actually make the choices you want. You have to pay for most of the good choices, and outfits. The storyline will give you answers to choose from and as soon as a pivotal relationship moment happens, you have to use your very few earned diamonds, or of course, buy diamonds. Dont call a game "Choices" if you can't even make the choices you want. Graphics are beautiful, and the storylines would be so fun and life-like if you were actually allowed to make important choices. Full Review

Great game however the actions which requires diamonds are far too expensive and meaning that you can't really make any meaningful choices without forking over a lot of real life £££. The amount of diamonds required to make most choices should either: - Be lowered to a like 3-5 diamonds instead normally 15+ - Or the amount of actions which requires diamonds should be lowered. Also keys take a lot time to load. And I would happily watch see if it meant earning diamonds and keys. Other than the issues with diamonds and keys, the game is fantastic, the stories are good. The romance stories could use a little more diversity and not be so heteronormitive but that's just a tiny gripe. I'd still overall recommend the game if you can afford it. If not, for the moment you'll have to be patient with key spawns and accept the limited choices due to lack of diamonds. Full Review

Same as every other review.... diamonds are killing this game. I spent money on the first book at they did nothing for me. Not extra weapons or characters. Choices costs waaaaaay to much money and you still have to watch a ton of ads. The creators need to make some better CHOICES... and make a better story line for people trying not spend hundreds of dollars. People giving reviews that are the same as this one need to stop giving the game 4-5 star ratings. That why the developer hasnt responded because your reviews are still good for them Full Review

Without making a three page summary I will go over the thing I like and the things that need some improvement. 1st. I like the stories and the art styles. 2nd. There are many options and it is hard to get burnt out one one story. 3rd. Each story has many routes to take to get more on the story. Here is the long part. The main pieces needing improvement are Keys and Gems. I like the idea of being able to go through one story and get Gems and then going to another and using those Gems. The thing that needs to change is the fact that you only get one gem a chapter the rest you have to buy. Combined with that there are stories that you could spend over 100 gems on for just one chapter. Some potential ideas I have to fix these are making it so that you get a Gem for each unique decision you make and/or (but preferably and) adding in a way to get Gems every 30 minutes by watching an add or adds. (The number of gems and adds would be left to you.) One final idea for the gems is to give a daily login bonus of Gems this way the don't feel as special and I will need to hold on to them. The second big downside is the keys. Firstly I should only have to use one key for every chapter and not have to use another just to go back and view it again. Plus the time between keys is a bit long but it does give some time between sections. However I have really enjoyed the stories from this app and hope you will take my suggestions into consideration. Thank you. Note: it still feels like it is three pages doesn't it? Full Review

The stories controls and gameplay and everything are all fun and great, but the name is a little ironic for something that gives you so little to choose. You're rarely given choices, and when you are, most of the good one require more gems than you ever have. My suggestion to the makers is: give the user choices more often, and make less of them cost diamonds. Maybe charge a one-time price for total creative freedom rather than making them pay two dollars for every decision? Still better than Episode, though. Full Review
