Won't let me choose download language and always defaults to German (where I live) when available. I remember there used to be a choice in the side-loaded app. Initially unskippable ads are annoying as well. I already pay, so back off. Full Review

It's a good looking app, but it doesn't provide Chromecast support, making it completely useless to me. Inconveniencing your customers so that they will purchase your product is a pretty bad plan. Instead of buying content from you, customers will just buy the same content from other providers, and then you make no revenue through content, regardless of hardware sales. Stop jerking us around. You're only hurting your bottom line. Full Review

It would be better if the last season of my shows were available on prime if the previous seasons were & around the same time of the year that the other seasons were available. It would be better if I didn't have to cast my entire phone screen to my Google chrome to watch on my TV. All in all, there are a lot of "not family friendly" grown-up shows. If it weren't for the two day shipping, I wouldn't have Amazon Prime. -JMO- #AMAZONPRIMEVIDEOISNEARLYWORTHLESS Full Review

With every update I hope that Amazon includes casting support, with every update I'm disappointed. Its my fault Amazon, not yours. I should know better by now; but no, I'm dumb enough to assume your awesome customer service in your retail dept also applies to your digital media department. Wanting to watch a couple of Amazon exclusive shows I've heard great things about - but refuse to do so on my 5inch phone. Less ratings = more producers willing to sign deals with your competitors. I for one am intentionally not watching a single original offering until this support is added. Full Review

Sweet they finally have a Playstore app, now they just need Chromecast support instead of trying to force people to buy a firestick... Id rather stream it off my PC than buy something that does the exact same thing as the Chromecast I already own. Plus if they add that I can finally ditch VUDU lol Full Review

Biggest drawback of the app is it does not support Chromecast. If your mobile has casting options then you can still use the app to watch on the TV with Chromecast but you have to keep your phone awake all the time. Kills the battery. Need the cast support ASAP. Team are you listening?? 🤔 Full Review

I would probably really enjoy this app but since you cannot chromecast I cannot watch these movies or shoes on my TV so I refuse to watch anything on my phone screen. I do not have a fire stick or a smart TV. I have a Chromecast TV which we love with Netflix and may other movie apps but not Amazon. Full Review

Nice interface, lack of Chromecast support is really consumer unfriendly, as well as the ads. Available content in Switzerland is not great, Netflix is still better (though far from perfect). Similar to Netflix, the fact that some content is proposed without the original audio is really impossible to understand. Full Review

1-star for no playlist feature, putting more and more content behind increasing additional paid subscriptions (for which downloading is disabled and resume NEVER works), addition of the app start-up ad and ads tacked on to paid content like TV shows. Yo Amazon! You are doing what cable TV did just before I cut the cable. And excuse me, this is in the "free entertainment apps" category? Uh...Amazon Prime is by definition a paid subscription service. It ain't free by any stretch and getting less free by the minute. Full Review

Amazon apps are so clunky in the UI. Granted, of them this one is adequate. I can't use this at all though since all I have to stream on TV are Chromecasts. Would it kill Amazon to offer Chromecast support? I would use prime video way more and it would actually bring value to my prime membership that I've had since day 1 instead of being a metaphorical carrot at the end of a stick. Full Review

Good collection of the most hyped and successful movies of their respective timeframe. Streaming works well without glitches. Resume feature even when watching online is good. One suggestion would be regarding downloads. File once downloaded lasts for only 48 hours. Downloaded file should be saved offline forever. Full Review

Seeing as the app on Sony TV won't let me rate it, I'll leave this here. The newest update is awful. Total backwards step. Trying to be Netflix but without any of the forethought. I get you are trying to push paid video, but why have you ripped the option to filter by prime only? I suggested this, you implemented it. Happy days. Then you changed your mind. Simply awful decision. Full Review

Download is really buggy. Can set something to download 2 hours before making the journey you want to watch it on and it may have downloaded or may just be saying downloading with zero progress showing - even when in 4G area (and yes, with it set to download over cellular). Pretty useless as a commuting distraction as a result. Full Review

S8 notebook. If I shut the app down or just watched a show it sometimes never restarts now. It will spin like loading until it says time up...try again? So I restart or turn off phone to get it to pop up instantly again. No other cache being used or memory for anything. I am not using WIFI, but getting data on phone ..I can watch steaming.. Other than that, very good. Full Review
